about
Samaritan seeks a team member to join us in helping people on the street access the resources needed to find a home.

If that sounds like you, and you’ve got a history of serving disadvantaged populations or in sales, we’d love for you to consider sharing your gifts with the people we serve.

Outreach teams and case managers use our smart wallets — called beacons — as a resource for people experiencing homelessness. Individuals set their own housing and health goals and then can access the financial and social capital needed to meet those goals. In a Seattle pilot, 10 organizations used Samaritan to surround 500 chronically homeless individuals with over $100,000 and 1,000 messages of encouragement from the community. Dozens used the newfound capital to reach life-changing outcomes, like housing, work, and recovery.

where you come in
You’ll be joining an incredible team of 6.5 (3 engineers, 3 non-technical, 1 PT healthcare specialist) in Seattle to:

 • Listen to and help organizations currently using Samaritan accelerate outcomes for clients they serve
 • Train groups to fortify their efforts with the technology and greater community around them
 • Reach out to social and health care providers who may be a fit to use Samaritan, hearing their needs and potentially getting involved
 • Built relationships with care providers to the point that they’re seeing more people reach housing in shorter periods of time
 • Collaborate with the product and leadership team on needed features, feedback from users, victory stories, etc.

desired skills

 • social service or significant volunteering with marginalized populations
 • account management and/or sales
 • demonstrable experience helping small or large organizations change for the better
 • Effective in-person and written communication, with ability to meet meet/call/text/email on-the-fly
 • Experience quickly adapting, learning and working independently, and owning multiple roles

compensation and application

PT or FT salary ($18k — $42k starting), perks and commission, with raises as Samaritan grows.

If you are interested in deeply impacting people without a home at scale, send us a note with a few links to previous projects and we’ll get started.
