Samaritan is opening a role for a Director of Sales experienced in city or healthcare procurement to help tens of thousands of people on the street across the country. If you have a background in working with municipalities, counties, healthcare to integrate new technology, read on; we want to help people find a home with your help.
About Samaritan:
Samaritan provides digital wallets for people on the street, linking them to financial capital and relational guidance needed to find a home.
Nonprofits use the wallets (called beacons) as a resource to people experiencing homelessness. Citygoers with the Samaritan app can invest financially and relationally into beacon holders. Beacon holders can then spend towards critical or strategic needs, and meet monthly with a counselor to keep their beacon active. This newfound financial capital and relational guidance has led street exits during a Seattle pilot.
The technology is designed to be used by nonprofits across US cities to bring new hope to people without a home, with the vision to help folks in 99 more cities over the next five years.
Opportunities:
- Use or develop experience in or health procurement for people living without a home
- Work with and grow the founder and founding team
- Help spec and roadmap new engineering projects
Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience providing new solutions to municipalities, counties, healthcare or human service agencies
- Exceptional emotional intelligence, plus strong verbal, writing and reading skills
- Know-how in planning and launching pilots or staged rollouts
